“Image Correction" or "Retouching” are loose photography terms defined differently by photographers. We define them as editing an image for color correction, exposure, cropping (if needed), sharpening, lens correction, and other various adjustments.

Additional enhancements may include the following: black and white conversion, dodging/burning, and vignetting. These require much more time for each image. However, we do not make images appear over-processed by softening the skin to the point where the face looks plastic.

Even though image correction is important to the post-processing workflow, capturing the images with proper composition, exposure and in-camera metering are all key to minimizing post-processing required.
